Finally got the laptop where I wanted it. Proper "nightlight", touchpad gestures, notifications that look correct for the theme, proper `fish` theme...Sway is just so nice to use.

Shinichi Kobayashi has idyllic memories of growing up on Naoshima, one of the nearly 3,000 islands scattered across Japan's Seto Inland Sea.
"We would go clam digging," said the 75-year-old, who became the island's mayor in 2018.
"During the summer, I would spend entire days swimming in the sea, catching turban shells and fish, getting deeply tanned."
"I don't recall seeing any foreign visitors," he added.

Good Morning #Canada
Conservationists who focus on restoration of wetlands are increasingly "Leaving It To Beaver." Beavers are considered the ultimate Keystone Species because they area they re-engineer offer benefits to many other species, and an entire ecosystem can collapse if a Beaver is removed. A Beaver dam doesn't just hold and conserve water. Beavers increase the population of frogs, fish, insects, birds, and small mammals and extend the range of larger mammals like moose, deer, and bears. The quantity and variety of vegetation are increased. Water is filtered and saturates the land, refilling artesian wells. It's unbelievable that we almost lost this amazing creature because of a hat fashion trend.

Prom tonight! Kids turned up in two helicopters, a couple of Bentleys, at least one Aston, a Lamborghini, lots of Porches, Mercs and assorted other sports cars and one kid drove himself in a Fendt! This is just a state high school but there's plenty of money sloshing about behind the scenes in the shire. Thank god my shoe waited til I was picking up fish & chips afterwards to fall apart. I've had to bin three disintegrated items of clothing today, a rarity ever for me 🙄

Consider: we came fairly close to extincting the various species crucial to this cycle *AND STILL COULD.*
The problem today isn’t the ongoing symbolic & subsistence whaling, it is that we have ravaged the ocean ecosystem in ways we don’t understand, such as noise pollution.
We really don’t understand enough about the subsystems of the oceans to be fucking with them in the ways we have been during the past century.
