Nur weil gerade alle wieder über Autos reden, möchte ich mal wieder auf einen Blog-Post von mir hinweisen, der inzwischen auch schon fast zwei Jahre alt ist.
Damals habe ich gezeigt, dass allein schon die Herstellung eines großen SUVs das Restbudget an CO2 aufbraucht, das jeder persönlich hat.
Die aktuellen Zahlen habe ich nicht. Müsste man noch mal neu ausrechnen. Es ist aber klar, dass wir in den letzten Jahr weiter CO2 ausgestoßen haben, so dass wir sehr nah an der Grenze sind. Die Produktion neuer Autos ist also keine Option. Also es ist schon eine. Leider. Aber es ist die falsche.

Concerning S$H_0$ES Data: Discrepant $W_{0,VI}$ Absolute Magnitudes for Cepheids in the Keystone Galaxy NGC4258
S$H_0$ES $VI$-band photometry for classical Cepheids in the keystone galaxy NGC4258 yield discrepant absolute magnitudes. Specifically, the 2016 and 2022 published S$H_0$ES Cepheid data for NGC4258 exhibit a substantial offset of $ΔW_{0,VI}\simeq0^{\rm m}.3$. That adds to a suite of existing concerns associated with the S$H_0$ES analysis, which in sum imply that their relatively non-changing Hubble constant for nearly twenty years should be viewed with caution.

Aber der Punkt ist: Was in Grünheide hergestellt wird, wird nirgends gebraucht. Es sind SUVs, die für alle Einsatzzwecke auf der Welt zu groß sind. Und für Deutschland galt schon vor einigen Jahren #CarIsOver, denn die Herstellung eines SUVs verbrauchte damals das Restbudget, das jeder Person noch individuell zur Verfügung stand.

Also: Keine Monsterautos mehr. Ob aus Grünheide oder Stuttgart oder Wolfsburg. Die ungedämmte Krankenschwester, die pendeln muss, kann das mit einem kleinen E-Auto tun. Bis zum Stadtrand. Bis es auch dafür bessere Mobilitätslösungen gibt.
