Balkendiagramm zur Anzahl der Inbetriebnahmen von Balkonkraftwerken in Deutschland von 2018 bis 22.05.2026. In den Jahren 2018 bis 2021 sind die Installationen sehr gering. Ab 2022 steigt die Zahl stark an: über 65.000 Anlagen im Jahr 2022, über 290.000 im Jahr 2023 und über 440.000 in den Jahren 2024 und 2025. Die Balken deutet auf einen anhaltenden Boom hin.

Ein Streudiagramm zeigt die Entwicklung der Bruttoleistung (kWp) von Balkonsolarkraftwerken in Deutschland ab 2018. Jeder orange Punkt steht für eine Anlage. Die meisten Anlagen liegen unter 2 kWp, mit Ausreißern bis über 30 kWp. Die Anzahl und Leistung steigen ab 2022 deutlich an und sind anscheinend mit Inkrafttreten des „Solarpaketes“ am 16. Mai 2024 auf 2 kWp begrenzt.
