The volume (parts 1 and 2) the paper appeared in has a lot of interesting contributions on writing systems, including Donald Knuth's remarks on the grapholinguistic model of TeX (start of Part 2).

Last year, Dutch government agency PBL used an IEA wholesale natural gas price forecast of €20 per MWh by 2030 for its Climate & Energy Outlook (KEV 2025), sharply down from the 2024 price.
Today, the price is €68 per MWh, almost double the 2024 price.
Interesting to see what PBL will take in this year's KEV edition; expected 14 September.
