I'm a day or two behind with reading toots in my usual time line, but I do have some lists covering current events. And it feels very disturbing reading about the bombing in Iran (and Trump's erratic statements) AND official news items stating that and how “Europe” urges Iran to negotiate with Trump. As if there would have been any chance to solve this mess

There's some time management guy on LinkedIn posting that, on average, we get 4,000 weeks on this planet. He lists a number of activities and how many weeks that represents, including 34 weeks on the toilet and 666 weeks if you spend 4 hours a day doom scrolling.
There are some calculation issues here. I didn't doom scroll for the 1st 30 years of my life because the internet didn't exist, and now I doom scroll on the toilet to increase my #Productivity. So I'm outliving most of you who are reading this.

Discussions during the current #IETF meeting led me to write a new draft on a compact CoAP URI expression, Short Paths In CoAP (ShoPinC, following the trade tradition of contrived acronyms).
As not all of the #CoAP crowd is reading the IETF lists, I'm soliciting opinions or feedback from here as well.…

Short Paths in CoAP
Applications built on CoAP face a conflict between the technical need for short message sizes and the interoperability requirement of following BCP190 and thus registering (relatively verbose) well-known URI paths. This document introduces an option that allows expressing well-known paths in as little as two bytes.
