Lots of people are suggesting Apple’s own Reminders app, so perhaps it’s worth explaining why it doesn’t work for me.
I use Reminders all the time as a grocery list, and I find the UI reasonable for that. However, for tasks, I find it confusing and noisy (I prefer Todoist), and I don’t think it’s actually very good at reminding me to do things. It tries once, and gives up until the next day! A strange behaviour, for an app named “Reminders”.

Reminder! Enable "Manifold" in OpenSCAD... for some reason one of my computers did not have it turned on. I was wondering why rendering was so slow.
(And by "slow" I mean a progress bar appeared for a 10 seconds.)

In general, the difference between a “to do list” and a “habit reminder” is the latter should remind you several times, almost annoyingly so, because if we need a reminder for a habit, it means we have not formed the habit yet, and therefore we are bad at getting around to doing it.
At least, my squiggly and chaotic brain believes so.
Sales are lagging this month so just a reminder about the kind of things I do.
If you need some custom USB HID or USB MIDI device (or something similar?) maybe I can build it for you?
