@… I should definitely organise mine and not just leave tabs open for centuries…

QuicheBrowser on the iPhone is great.
Until I realized that the tabs I have opened are available only on the iPhone.
Until I realized that I can’t use the Keyword Search plugin (which is the best improvement to Safari) http://safarikeywordsearch.aurlien.net/

If I accidentally press Ctrl-Q in Firefox I get a popup that asks me to confirm that I want to close my 5 Firefox windows¹. I don't care so much about the 5 windows but about my hundreds of tabs in them ;-)

¹yes I have lots of virtual desktops and using them ;-)
Aktuell stell ich fest, dass mich wieder vermehrt Webseiten dazu zwingen neue Tabs zu öffnen. Ich dachte wir waren schon so weit, dass User das selbst entschieden dürfen. Nervt das nur mich?
#ZenBrowser is considering to change the behaviour of windows in the following way:
- Two windows of the same workspace show the exact same tabs.
- Tabs are not lost when closing a window.
- In order to create a new, empty window, you first need to create a new workspace.
Any opinions? I find that quite weird and don't understand the purpose. 🤔
Wow, cleaning out my excess 😬 browser tabs last night, I came across this gem: https://ia.net/topics/markdown-and-the-slow-fade-of-the-formatting-fetish - this is something most people need to see, especially those in government and education.
I got this extension that binds keyboard shortcuts to play/pause and prev/next for YT Music tabs if they're open, downside is it only works on Chrome rn, FF version is available, but shortcuts in general are finicky atm.
I recently discovered a cool #firefox add-on called Auto Tab Discard.
It automatically unloads tabs after a certain period of time by default. Discard time is configurable, and you can also choose to discard only certain websites under certain conditions. You can also manually select tabs to keep or discard.
I started searching for a plugin for this because I had a lot of tabs ope…
Was cleaning out my tabs, and wow, this article aged well. 😂

#WWDC Keynote: my kingdom for true vertical tabs in Safari.
And by kingdom, I mean: literally every single AI feature the market has conned them into talking about instead of things people actually want.
TABS. It is a question of #accessibility, you morons!
Death to #smartTabs (aka random haphazard inserts of spaces depending on the IDE at hand)!

recap from my weekend distro hopping (that was severely limited by the good weather):
- tried Hyprland: cool but I still don't care about tiling window managers; terminals have tabs, emacs is its own window manager, the rest can be full screen or half screen.
- cool to learn about "new" things like Universal Kernel Image, a bit about UEFI, etc.
- I don't like the LEGO approach to build a Desktop; I care about this as much as 10 years ago: 0
There is N O T H I N G more irritating than opening an app that has a notification badge, reading all the visible notifications, looking at all the possible tabs, opening any kind of inbox, viewing your profile and settings and all that, and STILL!!! you can't clear that blasted badge.
NOTHING!
the depth of the rabbit hole is directly proportional to the number of open browser tabs. And I did close most of the old ones on Friday.
