Enjoyed the demo for Die For The Lich. I've really enjoyed the design space of dice in video games (Dicey Dungeons, DICEOMANCER, Duck and Roll). Similar to cards, they provide explicit input randomness, but you think a lot more about probabilities and sums.
The game feels pretty streamlined, but open to a lot of depth as you earn more dice and trinkets (which you draw like dice).

Well yeh that's why my Epson HX-20's 'charge battery' triggers - the detector input is indeed dropping below the 1.2v threshold with serial running (and microcassette connected albeit idle). So the voltage detector is triggering at the right voltage.
It could just be the lack of real batteries I guess, but hmm, getting there.

I made some progress on the Beat Bike!
The magnet mounted on the wheel passes a reed switch which is sensed by the control box (with a Raspberry Pi Pico) and then triggers the drum machine to step through the programmed sequence.
Still a lot of work to do, mostly mounting everything onto the bike, and some more code to write, but the proof of concept is all good.
