We just saw “Maybe Happy Ending” and absolutely loved it. Everything from the writing, to the acting, music, and set design was fantastic. Add in my love for both jazz and Korean culture? Bliss. ❤️
Easy to see why it won a Tony. And we were fortunate to catch it before Darren Criss leaves.

I don't spend all my (non-work) time on Mastodon. Sometimes I use my RSS reader to find me great blog posts to read instead 😄
@… has a wonderful blog going into great detail in dissecting rare old video game consoles. I love reading the articles but I do accept it's quite a niche little area so don't usually share much from there.
But the latest post on that blog had a little aside while trying to find information on an obscure integrated circuit. And I think this will be appreciated by much of Fedi.

I'm reading Witch Hat Atelier right now (checked out of my local library) and it's top-notch amazing, including the plot, world-building, ethics, character designs, and of course three staggering artistic quality, both in raw illustration quality and artful compositions. It's not shy with playing with the manga form either, with lots of stunning unique panels and active gutters. I also just realized the "shounen manga for girls" formula I've been looking for (which is a formulation that's nearly as important for boys to have access to as girls). But I also really love the humor, including ridiculous puns that are often well-translated. In this scene, the main character Coco has forgotten she's using a mist form spell and ends up blowing away her mist-form body even as age rushes into a chaotic situation, leading to this pun.

Whats the replacement for crypt in python? I want to crypt a known string just like /etc/shadow/ so I can verify my students set the username/pw correctly as requested in a lab. I was using this code (image) but looks like crypt.crypt isn't there in Python3.13. Looks like my code doesn't work like it did last semester. Oops. #python3
