The drones in Denmark story reminded me of the Gatwick airport incident way back in 2018. It doesn't seem clear if there ever were drones there and I think we never got a full explanation...
DR this morning were being very careful to rule in real sightings even had film of one), but also mentioned places where they were suspected but not confirmed. Seems wise to not over interpret.

It's nice to see furry-accessible airports but ... They could have made the tail hole a little larger.
Most National Park Service sites will be “closed completely to public access”
during a government shutdown, according to the service’s contingency plan.
“Areas that by their nature are physically accessible to the public will face significantly reduced visitor services,”
according to the plan, which was published in March 2024.
It adds that the public will be asked not to visit national parks for the duration of a shutdown.

Another passenger plane is lost in Russia.
This is the third since the war began. The other two were the Malaysia Airlines plane shot down over Ukraine and the Azerbaijan Airlines plane shot full of shrapnel over Grozny.
Can’t imagine why today’s plane would have been shot at considering it was in the Far East… but we’ll see.
Not sure why anyone would take the risk to fly to a Russian airport these days.

A cyberattack targeting check-in and boarding systems disrupted air traffic and caused delays at several of Europe’s major airports on Saturday.
While the impact on travelers appeared to be limited,
experts said the intrusion exposed vulnerabilities in security systems.
The disruptions to electronic systems initially reported at Brussels, Berlin’s Brandenburg and London’s Heathrow airports
meant that only manual check-in and boarding was possible.

A couple weeks ago I went through PDX airport security with my not-Real-ID-compliant driver's license, mostly out of curiosity. They asked me if I had another ID like a passport. When I said no, they sent me to some guy who did a chemical wipe test of my phone, before letting me continue.
I think the rationale is that any incremental improvement to security checks increases the difficulty for malicious actors, but it still feels like Maxwell Smart security
