My 88yo father is well along with Alzheimer’s now, and he pretty much can’t remember anything from one minute to the next. But he can sing songs and recite poems. Mostly he sticks to a handful of old favorites, but every once in a while he surprises us. A while back he started singing “Everywhere you go, sunshine follows you.” Neither my Mom nor I recognized it, so I looked it up. A delightful little song that I’m happy to have as my cheerful earworm of the day:

Maybe I should, but no.
I wonder if this is a reflection of my own biases. As an introvert, I can't imagine having the energy to be outgoing/cheerful all the time, so I don't write any characters who do.

Bye then Sibiu. Continuing to Budapest. The train consists at this stage of two MÁV compartment carriages with a cheerful seat moquette. More will be attached during the trip and train number will change. Probably that is why displays and announcements at the station confusingly just claimed Simeria as destination, even if both carriages go to Budapest.
Slowly going homeward now, to pick up the spouse for travel together in May.
