the best non-medical feature about West Coast General Hospital is definitely the atrium/waiting room.
Nice natural light. Running water. Naturally planted foliage. Calming, quiet and comfortable even though all around the edges it is go go go.
I am waiting for Tree to finish her MRI. It is a mobile unit that attends WCGH for three weeks, then goes to other hospitals for 7 weeks i think, on a rotation. It is not fancy. you have to go outside to access it which really sucks in the cold and rain.
But it is there and makes a big difference.

Gas companies are celebrating.
And here we are…. The rest of the world… suffering.
My only hope is that this makes people demand more access to EVs and renewable energy.

After many years as a staunch fence-sitter/political neutral, I voted in two previous political leadership races. The first was the 2020 Green leadership race. I was excited to support a candidate, and was then horrified to find out he was a Russian propagandist claiming to be a ‘anti-imperialist’. You can figure out who that is on your own lol. Have fun :)
The second leadership race I participated in was the BC NDP race that pitted David Eby against Anjali Appadurai.
She was treated horribly, and I would say with fear, by the BC NDP leadership. She could have been a sea change in real social progressive leadership in BC and Canada but was pushed out.
She's working for Avi Lewis’ campaign.

testing out the connection speed. Looks good max for my Telus Fibre connection.
I toyed with the idea of getting one with a 2.5Gb class WAN port as I believe Telus is offering >1Gb connections now... but I resisted. This was only $80 and is far more feature rich than the telus router and should be just as fast if not faster thanks to better internals than the Telus router.

If the only thing in an officer's mind between dialogue and deadly force is getting brushed to the side by a vehicle doing less than 5mph driven by a smiling mother in a red sweatshirt and pullover then I wonder about that officer's suitability for his job.
The new video from the murdering officer's phone makes it pretty damn clear there was no intent to harm and no risk of harm from anyone except the officer holding the camera and gun.

If China was a democratic country then perhaps you could say the roles of the cold war had somehow reversed, with China being the obvious technological leader in the world, while the USA tries desperately to hold on to its empire, and relevance through naked aggression.
But going to an english-language chinese news site and seeing talk of spacewalks and space stations really drives home how history has kind of flipped.
