Here's what bothers me about AI-generated code, and I'm going to use my own fuck-up as an example. I was calling a DBus interface from C , which I'd already done elsewhere in the code. So I cut & pasted, and adjusted variable names.. It didn't work. So naturally I assumed something was wrong on the other end. I added delays to make sure the other side had enough time to bring up interfaces, I wrote some introspection code to ensure the interface was available, etc.

I have a question for anyone who happens to be knowledgeable about web standards:
The same way we had the (failed?) "DoNotTrack" header... Is there any working group or initiative working on an #HTTP header sent by the browser (or similar mechanism) to signal that the user wants an ecological/lightweight website? Something like "SaveEnergy" or "LowEnergy", or "LightweightMode".
Would it make sense? Or do you foresee that it would fail for some specific reasons?
P.S.: Of course I would prefer if we didn't have to signal our discontent with the unjustifiably big and unoptimized web pages that we are served.

Well, fun fact, the design of SD cards is referencing the design of floppy disks, and were specifically made thin enough to be used in floppy adapters (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FlashPath).
Yes, they made an adapter to stick your SD card in and read and write it in a standard floppy disk drive; though you would need to install special software to use it (ironically that software probably came on a CD).

For #GrindayFriday, Czech Republic's oldschool-style grinders SIEGE CONTROL and their new self titled EP. This is nine brutal songs, very inspired by early 80s grind, but they still kinda maintain that modern feel, too. Boost posts tagged with #WeAintBuyingIt, #MassBlackout, and #BlackOutTheSystem. Make sure everyone you know knows about it. Hold each other accountable to keep from spending. You may already not be spending because.... well,.. #Trump has already made everything too expensive. The thing is that elites can't actually tell the difference. Spreading word, making the protest seem as big and impactful as possible is all that's really needed to fracture elites and turn them against each other. Boost, write your own post, make these tags trend on every platform you can, then do nothing.
Don't buy things, don't work. Just stop. Refuse to participate in capitalism. This is the ultimate "fuck you, make me" because they absolutely can't make you. This is the ultimate reminder of where power actually comes from.
If you're outside the US, (continue to) boycott American products (if the tariffs haven't already taken care of that) until the regime falls. Cancel all American streaming services, and any other American tech you can. If you're stuck on American tech, spend some time to look for local alternatives.
It turns out the world is more interconnected than capitalists would like you to believe, and we all actually have the power to change things. It's time to prove it.
