Is someone out here using the notebook as the server and connect to it on the go?
I know that @… does something similar with his van but I'm more curios about a mobile workstation centred workflow where the laptops acts as the server for the devices (mostly the phone).

Mastodon doesn’t support closed caption files. Bluesky does, but the sizing is poop.
But you can use open captions _and_ link to a transcript.

If at any point in the past you ever felt that maybe Native soverignty was a niche issue, or so far from being realized that other causes were more important or relevant, things like this are a good reminder that that cause: overturning the colonial order, is the *same* cause as any meaningful change from the fascist status quo. Things like a "return to democracy" aren't necessarily bad, but the rot runs to the root of this nation, and any intervention that doesn't go that deep is going to leave us right back in this situation again later on.
The fact that ICE is detaining Native Americans is not at all a mistake given their white supremacist aims.

#Microsoft really doesn't want you to stop using #GitHub Sponsors.
So apparently I can't stop people from sponsoring me myself. And I can't disable #GitHubSponsors either, because I have people sponsoring me. The only thing I can do is to contact support and ask them to handle it.
Fortunately, there's a ready support link with pre-filled form. Except it doesn't work anymore, so you have to go through the new support request form yourself. And after you write the message yourself, it is fed to a completely useless LLM that tells you how to disable account. Except that the process doesn't work, because as the bottom hint notes, if you have any active sponsors, you need to contact support instead 🤦. Well, at least it eventually lets you send that support request.
At least #KoFi lets you remove memberships yourself. It also lets you remove the account entirely but apparently not deactivate it. For that, there's apparently a support request. Sent one, let's see how it goes.
