It’s hard to overstate how critical this Firefox extension was. Before 2007, tooling was scarce. Firebug introduced the DOM inspector, live CSS editing, and the network monitor—features that laid the groundwork for the advanced performance tooling we rely on today in Chrome, Safari, and Edge.
