Went to the Japandult, a small Japanese fair in Munich („dult“ is an old Bavarian term for fair). It was nice but also expensive. 15€ to get in. They had some cultural shows (rap, flute music, a presentation from a Samurai school) and booths with handcrafts. Lots of anime plushies. Handmade, yes, but also cliche. You could buy some not so common snacks and sweets and they had a food truck with Takoyaki (balls filled with octopus)
English speakers always add new words to the language, but how does a language like #japanese decide to add a new character to something like kanji? Like who decides what a symbol for "spaceship" will look like?
