Captive portals, such a pain...
On ICE trains and in most places, it works fine.
I can open the portal and log in.
In the DB lounge, I can't open the captive portal login, in any browser.
It works on my phone though, so I use it as an access point as a workaround.
I can ping using domain names, includig my own servers.
curl says no route to host.
Fiddling with NetworkManager and systemd-resolved and dnsmasq and nsswitch... nope, can't figure it…

Trying to pick a CSS framework to learn.
Bootstrap comes from Twitter, so no thank you by principle.
Tailwind CSS seems completely dumb since it defeats the whole point of using a class system to design reusable components. The magic detection of class names in the codebase looks scary af.
W3.CSS does not seem to be used by anyone.
PureCSS and Spectre.CSS seems to be abandonware.

Working on a project that‘s still in development (creative development) and today I wrote up my recommendations for where it might register its domain names, since the project may not be to the current US presidential administration’s liking.
It is odd that that’s a reasonable concern.

Mastodon *does* have an algorithmic feed if you want one. It’s identified by different names in different clients but “Trending” is usually part of the name. I think it works well, hit the “Trending posts” and “Trending links” (called “News” in the Masto web client) once a day or so to get a feel for what’s happening in the world.
As with many other things, PhanPy is really good at presenting this stuff..
