In this paper, relying on methods from proof mining, we provide a quantitative analysis of a theorem due to Xu, stating that an iteration strongly converges to the solution of a well known quadratic optimization problem. Rates of metastability and some rates of asymptotic regularity were obtained. We get quadratic rates of asymptotic regularity for particular sequences.

Heating of a Molecular Cloud by a Primordial Black Hole
The heating of a molecular cloud by photons emitted by a primary black hole (PBH) located inside the cloud is considered. For graphite and silicate dust particles, the dependence of dust temperature on the distance from PBH is derived, along with the emission spectrum of dust particles. The obtained spectrum is compared with the sensitivity of the Millimetron Space Observatory for various values of concentration and size of dust particles and different PBH masses.

It is well-known that the gravitational force can be obtained by gauging the Lorentz group, which puts gravity on the same footing as the Standard Model fields. The resulting theory - Einstein-Cartan gravity - has several crucial advantages. I will overview the construction of the Weyl-invariant version of this theory and discuss its applications in particle physics and cosmology, in particular for inflation and the strong CP problem.
