We develop a diagrammatic theory of cavity-mediated photon-photon interactions in a topological insulator using the SSH model. The fourth-order vertex $Γ^{(4)}(ω_1,ω_2)$ governs spectral entanglement and Kerr nonlinearity, leading to a nonlinear topological phase diagram. We also compute the electronic self-energy from vacuum photon exchange and identify symmetry-imposed limits on band renormalization. We provide a complete set of covering moves, or moves relating colored link diagrams appearing as branch sets of simple branched coverings of $S^3$ by the same 3-manifold, for each fixed degree $d \geq 4$. We also show that up to $d-2$ stabilizations, this set can be refined to two local tangle replacements. We describe an algorithm that can effectively calculate the $s$-invariant of a link as defined by Beliakova and Wehrli. Our computations show that this cannot be done by merely calculating the $E_\infty$-page of the Bar-Natan--Lee--Turner spectral sequence. Our methods also work for $s$-invariants coming from sl(3)-link homology.
