I recently chatted with Tabitha Fritz of the Canadian Business History Association about my research on the wealth management strategies of the Wendat couple and snowshoe and moccasin manufacturers Marguerite Vincent La8inonkie (1783-1865) and Paul Picard Honda8onhont (1788-1871).
From the 1830s, they shift from investment in land to investment in mortgages, whereby they provided capital to their French-Canadian neighbours in exchange for annual interest payments.
Picard management tip: When performed by a captain, calendar quotes quickly become some real wisdom.
