Sicher, 86 Jahre sind ein stolzes Alter, aber von manchen Menschen und deren Schaffen und den Rollen, die sie spielen, kriegt man einfach nie genug und möchte sie ewig halten...
Patrick Stewart als Jean-Luc Picard war - und bleibt für immer - ein echtes Idol für mich.
Ruhe in Frieden.

Picard war für mich das Idealbild einer Führungsperson - empathisch und freundlich, nicht als Schwäche, sondern als Stärke. Immer die friedliche Lösung bevorzugend, aber durchaus in der Lage durchzugreifen, wenn nötig. In schwierigen Situationen auf die Expert*innen im Team hörend. Dabei neugierig und welt(raum)offen, mit einer Prise Humor.
Picard war und ist die Verkörperung der Werte von #StarTrek.
#SirPatrickStewart ist gegangen, #Picard bleibt.

Woah, das macht mich richtig betroffen. Sir #PatrickStewart, Darsteller von Captain Picard, ist mit 86 Jahren verstorben.
Der Mann war, was man "Held meiner Jugend" nennt. TNG habe ich vergöttert und ist für mich bis heute DIE Star Trek Serie. Keine davor und danach war besser.
Die Serie hat mir mitgegeben, was guten Führungsstil und allgemein menschliches Miteinand…

I saw Patrick Stewart live twice.
The first time was in a production of “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Wolf?” at the Guthrie. The moment he stepped on stage, I reflexively thought “Hey! It’s Captain Picard!” …and then, not 2 seconds later, before he’d even spoken a word: “No, no, it’s not, it just…kinda looks like him.”
Just his gate, the way he held himself, he’d become a completely different person. I’d imprinted on Picard in my formative years, and Stewart’s acting was so damn good that it took 2 wordless seconds to wipe Picard from my mind.

RIP. What an actor.
I spent my teenage years watching ST:TNG every week with my mom. His Picard was, of course, as iconic as a iconic gets. Debate the different ST captains all you like, fine, sure, so many great characters, but Picard will always be •my• captain.
