Reading a Star Trek TNG script, episode where a child has an “imaginary” friend that turns out to be an alien (s5e22).
In the 5th act, she says to her friend/the alien Isabella, “if Captain Picard says so, it’s true, Isabella.”
And I got a little misty eyed: for a leader to inspire such trust that the children of the people they lead know the leader can be trusted is a kind of wonderful thing.

I must admit shamefully that I had no idea the province where I live was a Wendat name. I assumed it was Indigenous, just like Québec and many names we have. I just.. never looked into it
