You know what's the problem with Linux Mint? It's so damn good.
Apparently yesterday's update borked sth in my Slackware Current. SDDM and then everything stops, usb mouse and kb dead, radio or bluetooth. Look at it later.
Made an LMDE iso, booted with that and start salvaging some files, prior to surgery. Has always worked.
Because I have this Gentoo project to finish 😝

48 hour film festival's AI rule. I think it says a lot as to what is and isn't allowed. Some of it might just be pragmatic, but some of it may also reflect values of what is considered central and what more peripheral?

In continuing Ubuntu 26.04 update woes, I'd written some management scripts in Ruby a while back that use NetAddr, which all failed after update. On investigation I find not that I've used deprecated calls that need updating, but that that the NetAddr namespace now points at a different, incompatible, project.
