We present a version of the classical Floquet-Lyapunov theorem for $ω-$periodic nonautonomous linear (impulsive and non-impulsive) differential equations with piecewise constant arguments of generalized type (in short, IDEPCAG or DEPCAG). We have proven that the nonautonomous linear IDEPCAG is kinematically similar to an autonomous linear ordinary differential equation. We have also provided some examples to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results.

In this paper we find a decomposition of higher order Lipschitz functions into the traces of a polymonogenic function and solve a related Riemann-Hilbert problem. Our approach lies in using a cliffordian Cauchy-type operator, which behaves as an involution operator on higher order Lipschitz spaces. The result obtained is a multidimensional sharpened version of the Hardy decomposition of Hölder continuous functions on a simple closed curve in the complex plane.

Abstract: This paper presents an algorithm based on Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), adapted for multi-objective optimization problems: the Elitist PSO (MO-ETPSO). The proposed algorithm integrates core strategies from the well-established NSGA-II approach, such as the Crowding Distance Algorithm, while leveraging the advantages of Swarm Intelligence in terms of individual and social cognition. A novel aspect of the algorithm is the introduction of a swarm memory and swarm elitism, which may turn the adoption of NSGA-II strategies in PSO. These features enhance the algorithm's ability to retain and utilize high-quality solutions throughout optimization. Furthermore, all operators within the algorithm are intentionally designed for simplicity, ensuring ease of replication and implementation in various settings. Preliminary comparisons with the NSGA-II algorithm for the Green Vehicle Routing Problem, both in terms of solutions found and convergence, have yielded promising results in favor of MO-ETPSO.

The proposed algorithm integrates core strategies from the well-established NSGA-II approach, such as the Crowding Distance Algorithm, while leveraging the advantages of Swarm Intelligence in terms of individual and social cognition. A novel aspect of the algorithm is the introduction of a swarm memory and swarm elitism, which may turn the adoption of NSGA-II strategies in PSO. These features enhance the algorithm's ability to retain and utilize high-quality solutions throughout optimization. Furthermore, all operators within the algorithm are intentionally designed for simplicity, ensuring ease of replication and implementation in various settings. Preliminary comparisons with the NSGA-II algorithm for the Green Vehicle Routing Problem, both in terms of solutions found and convergence, have yielded promising results in favor of MO-ETPSO.

Abstract: The infrared (IR) range is extremely useful in the context of chemical abundance studies of the gas-phase interstellar medium (ISM) due to the large variety of ionic species traced in this regime, the negligible effects from dust attenuation or temperature stratification, and the amount of data that has been and will be released in the coming years. Taking advantage of available IR emission lines, we analysed the chemical content of the gas-phase ISM in a sample of 131 Star-Forming Galaxies (SFGs) and 73 Active Galactic Nuclei (AGNs). Particularly, we derived the chemical content via their total oxygen abundance in combination with nitrogen and sulfur abundances, and with the ionisation parameter. We used a new version of the code HII-CHI-Mistry-IR v3.1 which allows us to estimate log(N/O), 12 log(O/H), log(U), and, for the first time, 12 log(S/H) from IR emission lines, which can be applied to both SFGs and AGNs. We tested that the estimations from this new version, that only considers sulfur lines for the derivation of sulfur abundances, are compatible with previous studies. While most of the SFGs and AGNs show solar log(N/O) abundances, we found a large spread in the log(S/O) relative abundances. Specifically, we found extremely low log(S/O) values (1/10th solar) in some SFGs and AGNs with solar-like oxygen abundances. This result warns against the use of optical and IR sulfur emission lines to estimate oxygen abundances when no prior estimation of log(S/O) is provided.
