Modern computers are not random access machines (RAMs). They have a memory hierarchy, multiple cores, and virtual memory. In this paper, we address the computational cost of address translation in virtual memory. Glad to hear Subnautica 2's multiplayer is optional. I'm currently playing Subnautica: Below Zero and am enjoying just being accompanied by the voice logs of doomed scientists and a computer constantly telling me I'm running out of oxygen.
