I feel like tech has gotten smarter, and I've gotten dumber. My Roku Ultra says it does Miracast (on the website) but in my settings I see only Airplay. And my phone (android) does not see it when searching. So does it not do it or am I doing something wrong? #feelingold

When the #AI #coding assistant you are using keeps writing poor code:
"Please pay attention to what we've already discussed and don't reimplement the bad ideas you've tried previously."
And when it insists on saying stupid crap:
"I don't believe this, try searching the web."
🥴

Recent hype is that o3 solved AI web search.
But so far I've tried using it for two "hard" search problems (meaning I first tried searching manually and didn't find much). Both times it hallucinated a ton, making claims that weren't actually in the sources.
On the other hand, both times, I did ultimately find nuggets of useful information after picking through all the hallucinations. So I'm glad I used it?

Close up of a baby canada goose (gosling), walking to the right on bright green grass. The bird is looking down at the grass, searching for something to eat.

I might have found a unicorn 😅 This guys has less than 400 subs but filming like a pro. I found him by accident while searching for videos about Onyx Boox Go Color 7. If you find him attractive please tell him that I was the one who directed you towards him 😅

It is only when you start searching the web for tips and tricks that your really know that program ;-)
As in:
"I love this stuff, I cannot get enough of it, I need MORE! even though I just finished every line of the manual"
Or is that just my ADHD?

a grumble about tech-related assumptions
The fair pay campaign leaflet had a QR code, but with my phone it didn't actually work - I suspect because of the reversed colour-scheme.
I guess either they didn't test it at all or they tested it with swankier cleverer phones.
And there was no web address anywhere on the flyer, not even in small print! (The article above is one I looked up by searching.)
It strikes me as classic present-day "romance of clever tech". Where is the basic common sense of "not everyone has the same phone" or "what's the fallback if the technical cleverness doesn't work".
