The discovery of a significant number of rapidly rotating low mass stars showing no or few flares in TESS observations was a surprise as rapid rotation has previously been taken as implying high stellar activity. Maybe it’s the craziness of the world, but I’ve been dreaming of still life painting. I keep imagining spending my days arranging and rearranging small objects on a tabletop, then drawing or painting them. Nothing much: cups and bottles, flowers and fruit. Just the idea of it calms and brings me joy.
