Edith Chapin, who is also acting chief content officer, has been editor in chief of the public radio network since 2023.

One night, my daughter intended to playfully call me “stupid”, but was apparently of two minds and tried to change it to “doofus”. It came out as “stu… fus.”
“Did you just call me… stoofus?!?” (We later agreed the spelling should be “stoofus” to make it extra ridiculous.)
I was, apparently, a stupid doofus. And, honestly, that’s probably fair.
And so now it’s become a term of endearment between us. Each night ends with, “goodnight, stoofus”. ❤️

Aside: The Mastodon release notes have clear and easy to follow upgrade steps, yay!
Now, perhaps written downgrade steps would be in order as well.
