If you ever get the chance to see the film based on these events, Pride, grab it. We saw it this year at the indie cinema in Kington and loved it. What a story and what a cast - it even has Bill Nighy in it which means the instant seal of approval from me. But what stuck with me was the sheer scale of AIDS deaths and how it was hidden at the time. It was years before I realised just how destructive it had been.

I just finished reorganizing the cable drawer.
The timeline of events was something like:
- the DNS server for internal name resolution runs inside a Docker container only reachable via IPv4
- if an Android device gets both IPv4 and IPv6 DNS servers, it will only query the IPv6 one
- fuck Docker; I'll install the DNS server on a Raspberry Pi
- creating a Pi image with sshd enabled didn't work
- this household has surprisingly few HDMI cables

When AirBnB started out I thought "What a great idea! A platform to enable people with a spare room to connect with budget travellers who want simple, inexpensive short-term accommodation."
