I decided it was time to check out Firefox alternatives.
LibreWolf came up, and being a FF fork, and a quick check shows it seems to update in a timely manner, I decided to give that a go.
I decided to utilise Firefox Sync to get most of my FF setup imported into LW. Went smoothly enough, although I discovered that the tabs syncing is just providing a list of what's on other devices, not actually creating and populating all of the same windows.

Not sure what happened, but a Microsoft update somehow wiped out all my Notepad tabs, I think.
I googled suggested solutions and can't find any that work.

I like to shit on LLMs being promoted and companies always adding chat interfaces to their products. Yet I added it to my product due to user requests and I have to say I find it very useful. I am finding a single interface where I ask for things much easier to use than clicking tabs and reading things through to find what I was looking for. Now I kind of get it why everyone is transitioning to that mode.

Installed Librewolf and then copied over my profile folder from my boot disk so now I have all my tabs and stuff ready to go. I found this episode very moving. This guy was on a one-man crusade to get doctors to setup NICUs and it took *40 years* for this country to decide that preemie babies are worth saving after all (Europe adopted these relatively quickly...we can thank eugenics in this country for the slow uptake). The whole episode is worth listening to.

I'm the kinda guy to just add to a sea of tabs in my tab strip/sidebar and I don't mind, Suggest will pull it if I forget. If I wanted, I can use container tabs in the same consistent UI (that can seamlessly be turned into vertical tabs in vanilla FF) and I don't think I'm missing out on anything.

Why does it feel like there's 3 different types of pinned tabs and workspace isolation features in Zen? I know there isn't but the fact I'm needing to reaffirm it to myself says we're complicating things more than we need to.

The inconsistency of Spaces as a feature and wtaf some of the settings do in the custom settings page just has me stunlocked. I'll admit I'm pretty set in my ways but making the spaces thing immovable and permanently on while also leaving container tabs to just flap around just.... uuuuuuuughh

My elderly Mom uses #Thunderbird as her client for gmail. Yay for #SilverFOSS !
This is the second time it's become unusable.
The culprit? the same as the last time...she has an ungodly amount of emails open in tabs and it just crashes. Troubleshoot mode seems to get by that to let me 'Close Other Tabs' on a tab.
Boggles my mind it doesn't have some way to 'open clean' without loading the open emails...or at least a setting.
