I'm way to deep in the research rabbit hole, went all the way to OG proceedings from 1888 because the sources in Wikipedia were questionable (random Time articles).

While Wikimedia content is free, the infrastructure that serves it is not.
Thanks to improvements in bot detection, more than *2 billion* requests per day get currently blocked, which would have otherwise caused further strain on the infrastructure.

it seems impossible I'm deeply curious what kids across ages and location do all day (after school and weekend). When my kids were younger I felt a lot of pressure to limit and monitor all technology use. Parents would brag about how they limit time.
But it's really hard to monitor your kids 24/7 because I want to do my own stuff. Also 24/7 monitoring sounds bad. But weekends are long and tech / videos / games can easily fill up so much time.

Charles Duhigg distinguishes "organizing" from "mobilizing" in a way I did not know before, then proceeds to classify a series of movements/campaigns as one or the other.
The real criterion seems to be how much decentralisation and local autonomy/focus a movement allows and fosters.
Reminds me of #Wikimedia chapters, which can be extremely varied and contain all sorts …

I just had to explain to the 13yo HOW TO READ A NEWSPAPER. He disassembled the paper into individual pages! The articles spanned multiple pages, though...
