1. This seems like a bit much.
2. They’d better nominate “Minneapolis-St. Paul,” or they’ll never hear the end of it.

People who don't like AI probably also disapproved of Dr. Robotnik imprisoning woodland creatures inside robots and forcing them to attack Sonic and Tails. 🙄 Just say you hate progress.

Content warning: Dead dird

Can anyone identify this bird? The bill doesn't seem long enough for either snipe or woodcock, and the head and throat have no patterning. Southern Scotland, but could be a migrant.

A dead bird lying on my table. The neck appears to be broken, but there's no other obvious injury. The wings and short tail are barred, mostly dark colours: the head and thoat are dove grey, with a paler patch under the chin. The bill is about 10% the total length of the bird, and is very slightly downcurved. The legs are quite long and sturdy, about 50% of total length, and the feet are large, suggesting a wetland habitat.
