Our #silentsunday was spent on a mountain trail half an hour from our home. About 400-500m elevation along such a trail. And we didn't meet anybody.
Maybe because the location is too unspectacular: no great summit views, no summit at all, nothing to buy drinks or food - just a trail through patches of sun and shade with quite a few flowers along the trail.

This was a nice ride. Some sections involved pushing the bike. And some steep parts came a bit surprising. But overall it was nice with some quite challenging sections. It was a loop that I wanted to try since quite a while.

{purrr} has some lesser known functions that make handling of failing function calls easier: safely, quietly, possibly: #rstats

Wrap a function to capture errors — safely
Creates a modified version of .f that always succeeds. It returns a list with components result and error. If the function succeeds, result contains the returned value and error is NULL. If an error occurred, error is an error object and result is either NULL or otherwise.
