Burning time for North American wildfires is going into overtime. Flames are lasting later into the night and starting earlier in the morning because human-caused climate change is extending the hotter and drier conditions that feed fires, a new study found.

No family as houseguests this weekend. The wee one is back at his mother's place and the grand-dog is back with my daughter. I have no plans apart from the usual weekend chores. Husband is feeling somewhat better so I'm hoping we might even be able to go for a small amble on Sunday and have a coffee together.
