The Atacama Cosmology Telescope: Systematic Transient Search of Single Observation Maps
We conduct a systematic search for astrophysical transients using data from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT). The data were taken from 2017 to 2022 in three frequency bands spanning 77 GHz to 277 GHz. This study presents a novel search for magnetic monopoles using data collected over a 14 year period (2008-2022) by the ANTARES neutrino telescope. The interaction of magnetic monopoles with matter was modeled according to Kazama, Yang, and Goldhaber cross-section. In a seminal paper (1996), Bourgain proved invariance of the Gibbs measure for the defocusing cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the two-dimensional torus by constructing local-in-time solutions in a probabilistic manner. In this note, we revisit and streamline his argument, using the random tensor estimate developed by Deng, Nahmod, and Yue (2022).
