I currently read “It can’t happen here” by Sinclair Lewis from 1935. It's about fictive events in the US in 1936: an election won by a senator turned dictator. It reads like a description of the US 2024/2025, except dear leader is Democrat, not Republican. I'm on page 90 (just finished chapter 11), almost 300 more to read, it really is hard!
As the Trump playbook follows Project 2025, are we completely sure that this is NOT just a rewrite of Lewis' novel?
