Yikes
Airbus said that more than 6,500 A320 aircraft would need a software fix after a recent incident involving a JetBlue airliner revealed that “intense solar radiation” could corrupt data that helps maintain functioning flight controls.

Hi, it’s Al Franken.
I don’t usually send messages like this, so I’m hoping you’ll read to the end for a GREAT story.
Before that, though, I want to tell you about Peggy Flanagan.
She is unbelievably great and she’s running to keep Minnesota’s Senate seat blue.
Her end-of-month fundraising deadline is tonight so I’ll get to the point: Please donate now.

In 2016, The Atlantic’s journalist
Shane Harris
made contact with a person claiming to work as a hacker for Iran’s intelligence,
where he claimed to have worked on major operations,

Every so often I'm reminded how bloody difficult it is to come and live in this country.
We were due an electrician to visit today but earlier he messaged my wife to say he couldn't make it and could he instead come "around tea time tomorrow".
My wife, who did not grow up in this country, asked me "when is tea time?" to which I replied "probably about 4-ish".
So then she said "But I thought tea time meant lunch time" and then the conversation went that although dinner time might mean lunch time and supper time might mean dinner time, tea time is always tea time even though it's highly unlikely anyone would be drinking tea. Unless it's afternoon tea which can be at any time but is definitely not tea time.
Bloody hell England, you don't make it easy do you!

"When news becomes an extension of political and corporate power, democracy loses its immune system. The Fourth Estate collapses. And disinformation rules.
This is what happens when billionaires control information. They decide what you see, what you don’t, who becomes a villain, who gets rehabilitated, and whose death is worth remembering"

US companies are gathering for the spoils.
One contender, the Guardian has learned, is Gothams LLC, a politically connected contractor that won a $33m contract to help run the notorious south Florida detention center nicknamed
“Alligator Alcatraz”,
where immigrants are housed in tents and trailers.
Documents and three people familiar with the plans say that the contractor had an “inside track” to secure what might be the most lucrative contract it’s ever had.
