I'm not going to read his "official biography", but this invention, and associated patents, were led by a colleague and me, with the first two granted before we even met Delo.
It doesn't surprise me to see him overstating his contribution and diminishing that of his future (now ex) wife - particularly what we know of his politics.
This much influence over any "mainstream" political party should be stopped, whether the source is foreign or domestic.
