San Franciscans! Here's a petition you can sign asking Mayor Lurie and the board of supervisors to fund social housing. You might have seen the flyers around the city.
We voted to fund it with 2020's Prop I, but for obscure reasons of state law, the use of the revenue wasn't legally binding, only intended. And then-Mayor Breed refused to do it. But we can fund it now!

Tying housing costs to homelessness rates, researchers have identified inflection points:
🔸When rents in a community exceed about a third of the median income, homelessness escalates.
🔸“As the share of low-income households with severe rent burdens grows, so does their risk of homelessness,”
said Thomas Byrne of Boston College, an author of the study.
Gregg Colburn, a housing expert at the University of Washington, found that

Updated my list what I moved away from BigTech. To be honest: when I started it, I didn't expect the amount of time & energy it takes to get out.
Therefore I regard it as crucial to just do it step by step. Otherwise you might get overwhelmed. And some nasty dependencies will just show up along the way ... but it's a nice hobby!
The Trump administration is upending its homelessness policy,
with deep cuts to funding for long-term housing.
Instead, it will shift money toward transitional housing that requires work and addiction treatment.

Critics warn the major overhaul could put 170,000 people at risk of losing their housing again.
And they say the timing is terrible.
Normally, funding notices go out months earlier, but now pro…
It's a bit frosty outside!
But we're thinking about a small cycling loop ...

My contribution to #footpathFriday , just fresh from the press ;-)
I went to the local hill / mountain today to escape the fog / clouds. Well and also to see whether the fog would create some nice mood to capture along the way that I'm walking rather often.
And indeed it was a very pleasant experience to walk into the fog and breaking through it to see some blue sky.
Do you feel that you are too dependent on Big Tech and overwhelmed by the number of services you use?
Are you afraid of the amount of work it takes to get out? - I totally feel you!
But the best is to just start. Start with one service at a time.
Don't overthink it too much.
Don't stress yourself.
Just do the first step. And do the second when you're ready.
Photo in the fog that I took last week. I had hoped for more frost but - well. At least there was quite some #fog!
This spot is really interesting. I have there been only a few times now but it looks so very different each time I'm there.

That's how our hike at the #mummelsee started ... and how it was when we were up there. - But the walk was quite okay.
We checked the rain radar and decided to go back down rather quickly. We leveraged our rain gear and it did not disappoint us! 🙂
So we didn't see the area atop - the so called
