AWR6843 focus stacked dataset at 100x stitching now.
11663 tiles, downsampled from 1992 x 1992 to 498 x 498. This should give a final resolution of 188 nm/pix, so we're still very slightly oversampled from the ~300nm theoretical optical resolution of the objective.
Raw dataset is 46.27 Gpix, down to 2.892 Gpix after downsampling. Given the 30% tile overlap we're probably looking at about a 1.4 Gpix final stitch.

Two Tiling is Undecidable
We show that the following problem is undecidable: given two polygonal prototiles, determine whether the plane can be tiled with rotated and translated copies of them. This improves a result of Demaine and Langerman [SoCG 2025], who showed undecidability for three tiles. Along the way, we show that tiling with one prototile is undecidable if there can be edge-to-edge matching rules. This is the first result to show undecidability for monotiling with only local matching constraints.

We present a real-time deformation method for Escher tiles -- interlocking organic forms that seamlessly tessellate the plane following symmetry rules. Bounded common fundamental domains for two lattices
We prove that for any two lattices $L, M \subseteq \mathbb{R}^d$ of the same volume there exists a measurable, bounded, common fundamental domain of them. In other words, there exists a bounded measurable set $E \subseteq \mathbb{R}^d$ such that $E$ tiles $\mathbb{R}^d$ when translated by $L$ or by $M$. Loop Patterns Formed by Cellular Automata
A Cellular Automata (CA) rule is presented that can generate "loop patterns" in a 2D grid under fixed boundary conditions. A loop is a cyclically closed path represented by one-cells enclosed by zero-cells. A loop pattern can contain several loops that are not allowed to touch each other. The problem is solved by designing an appropriate set of tiles that can overlap and which are used in the CA rule. Templates are derived from the tiles which are used for local pattern matching.
