At a certain age, the paperwork you have at home is enormous. Official letters, invoices, prescriptions... But, of course, there is a self-hosted application that helps you manage all that clutter.
At the moment, I already have Paperless installed on the server using Docker. I'll leave for the weekend its configuration, testing its ocr (wow!) and its app for Android.

Bought a nothing phone to explore Android a bit more. the hardware is super nice. Struggling a bit to cope with the ui things tho. Specially miss pull down to search which i use all the time on iOS side. Also in general things feel a bit more weird and glitchy. Sure I'll get used to it tho. I feel like tech has gotten smarter, and I've gotten dumber. My Roku Ultra says it does Miracast (on the website) but in my settings I see only Airplay. And my phone (android) does not see it when searching. So does it not do it or am I doing something wrong? #feelingold

If you want to break up Google, don't force them to sell an indirect-revenue product like Chrome. Force them to break up their advertising monopoly. Make them sell Android or YouTube. Fine them enough money to set up an endowment that can fund Mozilla or Servo or Ladybird to actually compete with Chrome and its family.

Is Keepass on Android really dead? On Apple devices there's Strongbox that is up to date and native UI/UX. On Linux, KeepassXC does the job well.
And Android has two apps, both of them are unmaintained. One of them, the maintainer can't even merge the Passkeys support and release.
Someone™ should make a commercial version of it.

Oh wait, there's #TrailSense. And you know what's so great about it? It is 100% offline. Like, it uses the barometer sensor and cloud data. Like, the right kind of clouds.
Is it accurate? Obviously not. But given the choice of non-cool online weather predictions, and totally cool offline weather predictions… Also, now I have an excuse to photograph clouds to feed it data, so maybe I'll finally learn to recognize them.
It also has lots of other useful functions — like a compass, sunrise/sunset times, and lots more. And it's on #FDroid.

Posted here the other day about getting a #pinephone, so I guess I should update. As I was half-expecting, it's not usable for me as a main phone (though I should still try LineageOS before giving up completely).
I had the Linux skills to hack through a lot of the problems that came up, but the shaky state of Android emulation meant I'd never be able to run key apps I wanted to, and the battery life is abysmal due to fundamental OS issues (plus probably some hardware stuff).
Still a super interesting platform and I've got ideas for uses besides being my main phone.
