Although heart rate and blood pressure readings from breath-holding tests are usually reliably accurate, another vital measurement could be missing a beat, a University of Alberta study shows. Looking at whether a person's heart and blood vessels react the same way every time they hold their breath while low on oxygen, researchers were surprised to discover that arrhythmias—irregular heartbeats—occurred only some of the time, which may make them harder to predict than previously assumed.

While staying vigilant, we’re embracing the chance to catch our breath and to start healing. The city right now has a bit of the feeling of the days after a natural disaster: there is so much damage to repair. Thousands of people are still sheltering at home, understandably reluctant to go to work and/or school. Thousands are facing imminent eviction when March rent comes due.
There’s organizing around rent relief, talk of a rent strike. Food delivery is still in full swing. Mutual aid is not letting up.

Had an #acting #coaching not breathe during the scene unless they 1) needed air, or 2) could make the other character do something by using their breath. The push-pull between the characters suddenly took sharper shape, stakes raised, all by connecting with the need for air.

ICE activity seems to have been relatively quiet the last couple of days in my part of Minneapolis.
I heard they’ve been super active recently in the outer suburbs and rural areas, and it sure doesn’t seem like anybody’s assuming we’re done with their awfulness here in the middle of the city. But I’m happily embracing the chance to take a breath.

"No ice is safe ice" is the mantra of those who work and engage in recreational activities on lake ice. This event overwhelmed the news of many other ice rescues that had to be done on the weekend across the Great Lakes basin. After a week period of *extremely warm temperatures where everything was clearly melting, it doesn't matter if you drive 2 hrs to get there. Many first responders had to risk themselves to save these people. Stay off the ice!

A couple of young fellers were fishing at their special pond off the

Try the laptop: problems, go around in circles, badmouth Linux.
