67,000 homes in Ireland still use peat for heating. However, Bord Na Mona stopped extracting peat last year and closed its last peat power station. Now restoring peatlands which in a dried out, denatured state are carbon emitters. Big wind farms now on former extraction sites too. A great deal of historical damage has been done.

We already managed to screw up the climate of Spain, in many ways.
And as long as we're emitting more greenhouse gases than ever before, it will get worse faster than ever before.
We have to get to net zero emissions asap. It's not 'realistic' but absurd to slow down climate action now.

Great stuff in this article but I do not know if unplugging from the broligarch's platforms is the solution to end their delusional grandeur.
It is the same with the climate crisis. This cannot hinge on the individual to solve but the whole system has to change. Individual action is good but that is not enough.
(For all its shortfalls the EU is regulating parts of the tech industry, but there has to be more.)
