De #trike bracht me vandaag door het polderstadslandschap van Almere Buiten naar industrieterrein De Grote Vaart en naar de Oostvaardersplassen. Het was heerlijk fietsweer en vrijwel de hele weg heel rustig. #regel17

Hoge Vaart, een van de vele gebouwen van Algen, fabrikant van transformatorhuisjes, batterijen en laadpalen.

Es wird Frühling und es summt und brummt!
🐝 Hummeln gehören zu den wichtigsten Bestäubern, den Wildbienen. Wir wissen aber noch zu wenig über sie und ihre Verbreitung.
🔭 Deshalb gibt es die bundesweite Hummel-Challenge des Thünen-Instituts zusammen mit dem BUND Naturschutz in Bayern e. V.
🪻Jede*r kann mitmachen - auch ohne Artenkenntnisse!

It's been a nice day in the #mountains. Luckily the cleanup bag doesn't come to action a lot on this route any more. Thanks for everybody keeping the trails clean.

Looking back at some of my old decaps compared to one I did recently. Amazing what a difference 15 years of practice makes lol.
The etch is so much more surgical now (and I can preserve copper bond wires which was a pipe dream before - although to be fair back then copper wires were not in common use)
The clipped pin on the recent sample is intentional, you'll find out why in a few weeks

8-pin SOIC on a SEM stub with a nice clean rectangular cutout etched in the middle exposing a die and copper bond wires

100ish pin rectangular TQFP with a giant crater etched in it partially exposing the die and some blue RTV rubber around the perimeter

Dirty silicon die surrounded by gold bond wires, some broken, on a rather mangled decapped package

28 pin DIP with a giant crater etched in the middle exposing the die at the bottom of a deep hole

STM32MP2 XC7K160T PCIe test board progress! 66 unrouted nets in the power supply, but I think it'll fit.
There's something for everybody in this board:
* 0201 passives? Check (under the SoC)
* Lots of FPGA? XC7K160T is decently sized
* Lots of CPU? Dual A35s, a M33, a M0 , and a M4
* High speed? PCIe gen2 and a SFP that is theoretically capable of 8 GT/s but I'm gonna try pushing the FPGA a bit and see if I can make it do 10Gbase-R with acceptable BER…

Exploring the area before HARRIS with a bunch of cool folks.
Not every day you get to look *down* on a tower crane after climbing a ridiculous number of stairs.

Photo of Köln seen from the top of the cathedral, slightly blurry because the camera tried to focus on one of the stone carvings in the corner of the image rather than the city. But there's two tower cranes in the distance, clearly lower than the viewpoint
