We give a numerical criterion for the Nielsen realization problem for Enriques manifolds, based on the recent developments on the Birman-Hilden theory for hyper-Kähler manifolds and on Nielsen realization for hyper-Kähler manifolds. We apply the criterion to known examples of Enriques manifolds to get explicit groups that can be realized or not realized, and comment on questions related to the Nielsen realization problem.

In the space of closed $G_2$-structures equipped with Bryant's Dirichlet-type metric, we continue to utilise the geodesic, constructed in our previous article, to show that, under a normalisation condition Hitchin's volume functional is geodesically concave and the $G_2$ Laplacian flow decreases the length. The main result is to show that if $K \ncong \mathbb Q(\sqrt{-15})$ is an imaginary quadratic field and $E$ is an elliptic curve over $K$ with a torsion point of order 16, then the class number of $K$ is divisible by 10. This gives an affirmative answer to a 12 year old question by David Krumm. This is done by setting up a more general framework for studying divisibility of class groups of imaginary quadratic points on hyper-elliptic curves and applying it to $X_1(16)$.

We study the Kuznetsov component of cubic fivefolds via their quadric fibration model. We construct a family of Serre-invariant Bridgeland stability conditions on the Kuznetsov component and establish the non-emptiness of all moduli spaces of stable objects. As an application, we identify the lowest-dimensional moduli with the Fano surface of planes of the cubic fivefold, and recover a classical result of its Lagrangian immersion into a hyper-Kähler manifold.

We study Galois rational maps between smooth projective varieties with trivial canonical bundle, with a particular interest in the case where the codomain is Hyper-Kähler. We obtain results about the birational geometry and the Galois closure of rational maps between Calabi-Yau manifolds. We apply these general results to a number of well-known examples.

Algebraic Exceptional Set of a Three-Component Curve on Hirzebruch Surfaces
We study the algebraic exceptional set of a three-component curve $B$ with normal crossings on a Hirzebruch surface $\mathbb{F}_e$. If $K_{\mathbb{F}_{e}}+B$ is big and no component of $B$ is a fiber or the rational curve with negative self-intersection, we prove that the algebraic exceptional set is finite, and in most cases give it an effective bound. We also prove that the algebraic exceptional set coincides with the set of curves that are hyper-bitangent to $B$.
