Der durch große Heideflächen geprägte Platz ist als Lebensraum für zahlreiche vom Aussterben bedrohte Tierarten wie Zauneidechse und Wiesenpieper gesetzlich geschützt. Auf dem Gelände betreiben die Stadtwerke Bielefeld nahe der Startbahn elf Trinkwasserbrunnen für das Wasserwerk 3, das jährlich bis zu 450.000 Kubikmeter wertvolles Trinkwasser für die Bielefelder Bürger*innen fördert. Der Flugbetrieb gefährdet das Trinkwasser, deshalb ist die Ausweisung eines Wasserschutzgebietes...

We had our dryer vent blown out yesterday. Not quite 3 years since the last time. Our vent’s only got about a 20-25 foot reach, and horizontal, but it still coughed up about a basketball-sized bolus of lint dust. If you have a dryer in your home, when was the last time you cleaned it out, or had it done? Distinct fire hazard as it fills up. It’ll also work more efficiently afterwards. #PSA

I have to say I don't hate the faces of DLSS 5. Maybe I don't get the Snapchat reference because I've never used it? They don't look exactly off and uncanny to me either. Maybe because of the comparison which shows they are more or less derived "from the artwork"? The more upsetting explanation would be that my uncanny valley threshold is kind of low.

Finally, airlines have to pay for the CO2 emissions of their flights within Europe. Until now, they got a 50% discount. And they still don't pay for the indirect global warming effects they cause, which probably double the total damage done. nos.nl/l/2602799
