Looking for a phantomjs alternative, ran a search and ended up on a page with a seemingly good comparison of possibilities, until you realize the page is on zenrows.com domain. I don't think I'll take YOUR word for your product. Not sure what snakeoil they might be selling but feels overtly self-aggrandizing at least

a table comparing web scraping tools. The table has five columns: "Tool", "Languages", "Best For", "Popularity", "Ease of Use", and "Speed".

The first row lists "ZenRows" as the tool, with "Python, NodeJs, Java, PHP, Go, Ruby, and any other" as the languages supported, “Web scraping without getting blocked” as its best use, “Rapidly growing” as the popularity, “Beginner-friendly and very quick to implement” as the ease of use, and “Lightweight and fast” as its speed. The second row lists "Pup…

About fucking time... Android finally doing proper DHCPv6. When this is live on my phone I can turn off SLAAC, and not have Windows insist on using it (yes, there's meant to be ways to stop Windows from using SLAAC, so it only uses DHCPv6, but I never saw any of them work). *I* don't want 'random' addresses, I want predictable ones for firewalling and ACLs:

It’s striking how dramatically our mindset has shifted in under 30 years. Before the 90s, people were frustrated by the need to buy products they weren’t able to build themselves. Today, despite having unprecedented access to tools, materials, and even electronics development, many people prefer plug-and-play solutions.
In essence, we once valued understanding how things worked. Now, we often prioritize convenience and mental ease. Even remembering a few keyboard shortcuts feels excessi…

I have just released my debut solo album, "Tools and Toys", part of an electronic/synthpop project (Transits of Mars) that I've been developing in recent years.
Available to stream and download on Bandcamp.
Produced with free and open-source music production tools in #Linux, mainly #lmms

#FreeSoftwareAdvent I couldn't work without LibreOffice or Thunderbird. The former is a fantastic and comprehensive office suite, and the latter is Mozilla's IMAP and POP3 email client.
I suggested using them years ago at a work meeting, and since then, Microsoft tools have been discarded in favor of their opensource alternatives.

There's two other very interesting MX Linux iso's that I'd like to point to:
- the official Fluxbox version, which still offers a lot of the tools and software available to the generic XFCE version
- the minimal XFCE community spin (you know I had to check that out)
Fluxbox is actually a very nice floater, and coupled with the tools, theming and ecosystem of MX is a great choice for those old Thinkpads!

Systemd ate everything because they have developers working on it and addressing issues. And they do it all under a single flag, the project called systemd.
I don't understand the hate.

It's useful for developers because it provides quite a lot of useful and stable tools to create logging and services, that are much more flexible and stable than …

Syndicalist unions are fundamentally different from the bureaucratic trade unions that dominate today. Modern unions function as institutional frameworks that negotiate within capitalism, often acting to preserve the system rather than challenge it. They centralize power in hierarchical leadership, limit direct worker control, and prioritize legal contracts and state approval over genuine worker autonomy.
Syndicalism rejects this institutionalized framework. It refuses collective barga…
