Linux Mint is often shilled as a lightweight distro that runs great on older hardware. Well, turns out the Cinnamon Desktop actually requires a certain amount of GPU performance to render smoothly.
On my old laptop Intel HD Graphics 4000, the entire Desktop only runs at ~30 FPS. The Xfce/MATE Editions run at 60 with occasional drops.
I didn't expect that from Cinnamon. Even KDE Plasma ran better.

@… I tried KDE at one point after seeing all the comments about how wonderful it is, but I wasn't very happy with it. It's resource intensive, for one thing, and I didn't think it was a better interface than Mint, Mate, or XFCE.

Ik vind het razend knap van BBB en JA21 dat ze in staat zijn om minder voor het klimaat te willen doen dan het huidige kabinet deed. Blijkbaar kan het wanbeleid van minister Sophie nòg wanstaltiger.
Vooral linkse en progressieve partijen willen meer doen om de Nederlandse klimaatdoelen te halen. Middenpartij CDA doet dit in mindere mate. BBB en JA21 kiezen er juist voor om minder in te zetten op klimaat dan het huidige kabinet.

Op het thema klimaat laten de doorrekeningen van de verkiezingsprogramma's duidelijke verschillen zien. Vooral linkse en progressieve partijen willen meer doen, terwijl BBB en JA21 minder inzetten op klimaat.
