This coming November, I'll be holding my second GNU/Linux installation workshop. I'll probably choose Linux Mint with XFCE or LXDE. I think those are the ones that are least disruptive to the Windows mindset.
Little by little, we're showing that GNU/Linux stopped being just for nerds a long time ago.

Finally got around to replacing MacOS on my ten year old MacBook Air with Linux Mint Xfce. It installed fine, then I did an update from the 6.14.x kernel to the 7.0.x kernel and... kernel panic.
I had to boot the installer again and spend more than an hour messing around in the command line to go back to the older kernel, then mark it so it will never update it again.

Og det er faktisk seriŸst arbejde der udfŸres med den :)
Jeg har fået fat i en 27" iMac fra 2015 til billig penge.
En lille ekstra udgift kom der til, da jeg skulle kŸbe et kit til at åbne maskinen (skærmen er limet fast i dens kabinet).
Nu er den gamle 4TB HDD erstattet med en 1 TB SSD- og så spiller den bare- med Linux Mint vel at mærke. Jeg er ikke Apple fan, men den pynter altså! <3
