Color me confused - I see that el cheeto's dog, Lindsey Halligan, is listed as a lawyer in Virginia.
Yet, when go to the Virginia bar website and search for her in their lists of Virginia attorneys I get zero hits.
Huh?
The page below says that she is a member of the Virginia Bar, but the Virginia Bar seems not to know who she is?
Am I fat fingering something on the Virginia bar's attorney search site?
New SQL Notebook: Home made font tracing
There are many tools outwhere to create fonts from bitmap images, be it handwritten fonts or fonts from old books. They all involve quite a lot of homework. Letters have to be written carefully on a grid, bounding boxes have to be defined.
I wondered if the process could be made a little bit more straightforward. I want just to scan a book´s page and the tool creates the font for me, identifying all letters.

So, I still have not updated my iPhone to v26 because I hate everything I’ve seen about the “Liquid Glass” and Apple still had a v18 update last time around.
But I expect I will be forced to upgrade since Safari with Lockdown Mode on in v18 chokes on almost every page, redrawing a couple of times before giving up. I also see this in a couple of apps which are probably just thin wrappers around Safari WebViews. Turning off lockdown mode for the site ends the problem.

I am going to keep whining about this for web sites. If you show ALL products then the default for the checklist is ALL items to be marked, not like the example. Second is STOP REFRESHING EVERY TIME I CLICK. Have a nice button that says 'REFRESH'.
Why? I want to see every maker EXCEPT HP! I should not have to click 6 options and wait for a refresh for each one.
Also, give us the option to select all and select none!
Like how hard is that?

Question for the ether: I have an *old* WordPress site backed up. Not sure on exact version, but from 2009. I have all of the files, but no database (or at least no .SQL export file; I may have the literal files of the db, not sure).
I want to run the site locally on Windows, so that I can see what it looked like. Don't really need content, just mainly the layout and page structure, CSS, basically the theme is what I want to recover. Is this possible? #wordpress #indieweb

My answer is NO to AI in a browser. All I want is for a browser to go to the URL and render the page. A search site to provide me a list of sites that meet my query, not a hallucination of a list. The page that is edited by a person presenting real information and not AI slop.
And yes, I do use AI at times at work. I use it to quickly find documents, but I will do the review to see if they are relevant.
