For the first time, I tried the "Fix with Copilot" button. I used it for the most trivial thing: changing 'Postgresql' to 'PostgreSQL' in a comment.
And this obscure error happened:
Failed to Fix with Copilot. Please try again. (422)
(I tried again, it failed again.)
I thought that maybe it could be faster than me manually fixing the capitalisation of PostgreSQL in the source file. Turns out it was not since
1. It did not work at all
2. I took that screenshot and wrote that rant
3. I fixed it manually anyway
Shit like that is not going to improve my opinion of AI (which isn’t very high to begin with).

This is just me venting.
I hate that if I want to lug a slightly smaller screen than my Surface Go to gaming, the iPad Mini behaves more like a tiny phone than my actual phone. With no way to tell DnD Beyond that there is plenty of real estate and to please use it.
I blame Apple / Safari here.

A Surface Go 3 with an 11½ inch diagonal screen, an iPad Mini 6 with its 9 inch diagonal screen, and a Pixel 6 with its 6¾ inch screen, all against on another to show the very different total surface area.
My D & D Beyond character sheet, with all attributes saves, skills, and most actions and weapons visible without scrolling, despite the fixed nav bar; the image is labeled Surface Go 3.
Same character sheet in landscape mode, but only three attributes are visible, along with four other stats, and not much else, while the fixed nav bar and character name take up half the height of the screen; the image is labeled iPad Mini 3.

So I see this interview posted from 8 years ago and with some curiousity, I click in to be greeted by a banner warmly saying "welcome to my home" but then begs "please buy me a coffee" …
I'm old-fashioned. When folks visit my home, I offer THEM a cup of coffee. Like any peasant, I hope they refuse, three times 😅
I'm not denoucing the practice, only that the etiquette bugs me, and not sure of a fix. If this is truly Gift Economy, we only require an opportunity to "return the favour", not an upfront "hey, yeah you, stranger, take this gift but FIRST, you got any for me?"
In my Real Life, folks often, having heard or read me, offer to buy lunch (or beer) if I'll tell them more (I'm a sucker for that) which I suppose is really like an OnlyFans acct with teasers on Tumblr sort of thing 🤣

I mean the things like "when's my next [event] again?" [Response] "oh, please set up a reminder for two days before that telling me to buy [stuff]"
I use ("dumb") Siri on Home Pod (and on my iPhone before I migrated away from iOS, like to set reminders for the next day without getting distracted or getting light im my face while on bed trying to sleep) to set timers and stuff when I don't have a device at hand, as well as for turning off my living room lights via the Home Assistant integration when going to bed (since the switch is far from the hallway), so these extra features would be really cool specially if it was something local, open source and with integration with stuff in my NAS.

I am more against AI slop in chat channels than I am against space-based securities scams.
You wanna do a space-themed securities scam and pass laws that mean the whole pension market has to invest then, uh.. I prefer you don't but, whatever. You do you I guess.
Let me know your victim's address so I can warn them?
But if you want to put machine-generated slop in my chat channels?
Now you are affecting me personally.
Chat with the bot to interrogate your understanding if you want? Sure. There might be better ways like a text-book. but it's undeniably quick to identify where you disagree with the average.
To proffer your please-o-bot conversation as any evidence of anything, or to think it contributes to a public channel of real humans who are saying actual human things which are not synthesized by robots?
The revolution ain't built like that man. That isn't how you build human communication channels.
Keep your conversations with robots as private as your interactions with the VR Porn.
Talk with the robots if you must but nobody wants to hear about that or your dreams.
