@lightweight@mastodon.nzoss.nzListening to RNZ with pundits talking about Luxon's state-of-the-nation talk yesterday in which he called NZ a 'fragile nation' due to (his view) past fiscal negligence... The pundits say they think he's signaling austerity... but what if he's really signaling the need for Public-Private-Partnerships (PPPs) for *everything*, which suits their monied benefactors to a T, as it lets them gradually take ownership of public infrastructure? Suspect that's the end-game.

@lightweight@mastodon.nzoss.nzSeems to me that the only likely purpose of the gov't's cuts to the public service is to soften them up for 'PPP's (Public Private Partnerships) with the eventual aim of making all public property privately owned (by the very few very wealthy people who funded all 3 parties' campaigns).
They are privatising commonly owned public resources, so 99% of us can be precarious sharecroppers in our own country.
